(Sacred Ordinary)
Some days donāt come with breakthroughs.
They donāt shift everything into place or give you the clarity you were hoping for.
They donāt tie up loose ends or make things make sense.
Some days just⦠exist.
A little heavy.
A little unfinished.
A little quieter than you expected.
Today was one of those days.
Not bad enough to fall apart,
not good enough to feel easyā
just somewhere in the middle, where youāre carrying more than youāre saying.
But somewhere inside it, I made a choice.
I went to the gym.
Not because I felt strong.
Not because I was motivated.
But because I needed to move something out of meā
the tension, the frustration, the weight of things I couldnāt fix.
Fourteen flights later, my legs felt like jello
and my lungs were questioning every decision Iāve ever made.
But my mind?
Quieter.
Not fixed.
Not resolved.
Just⦠less sharp around the edges.
And sometimes, thatās the kind of relief you get.
Not a solutionājust a softening.
I think we underestimate these kinds of days.
The ones where you donāt quit,
but you donāt conquer anything either.
You just keep going.
You do the next thing.
You take the next breath.
You choose not to react.
You choose not to chase.
You let things be what they are, even when you wish they were different.
Thereās a quiet kind of strength in that.
In staying steady when everything in you wants to either fix it or walk away from it.
In letting the day be imperfect without deciding it was a failure.
Today didnāt give me answers.
But it gave me space.
A little breathing room inside myself.
A reminder that I can carry things without letting them carry me.
And that counts.
Even if no one else sees it.
Even if nothing looks different on the outside.
It still counts. šæ
Also⦠if youāve ever done 14 flights on a stair machine, you know ājello legsā isnāt a metaphor. Itās a full-body warning. š
