Reclaimation and Confidence

She Stopped Asking for Permission

(Sacred Ordinary – October 2025)

She used to wait for approval.

She used to worry what people would think —
the ones who smile in passing but whisper when they turn away.

Not anymore.

Now she walks softer, but stands taller.

She speaks her truth without trimming it down to make others comfortable.

She knows what it cost her to find her voice,
and she’s not giving the volume knob to anyone else.

There’s fire in her gentleness now —
a slow, steady burn that says,

“I survived. I’m still here. And I will not apologize for shining.”

The woman who once second-guessed everything?
She’s the reason this version exists —
the one who writes her story in her own handwriting,
signs it in courage, and presses “publish” without flinching.

Years of motherhood, work, and daily life quietly took pieces of her —
not out of malice, but out of love and duty and endless giving.

She wouldn’t trade those years for anything.

But she isn’t trying to get back to who she was,
because that woman never really existed.

She’s becoming someone new now —
a woman forged in the middle of chaos and courage,
who knows her worth not from what she’s lost,
but from what she’s found along the way.

And when she slips on those red heels 👠, it’s not for show.

It’s her reminder that confidence can click across a floor,
that reclaiming herself can sound like music,
that power can be graceful, feminine, and wholly her own.

Because this is what becoming looks like —
a woman unafraid of her reflection,
sure of her voice,
and steady in her stride.

She stopped asking for permission
and started living her sacred ordinary truth —
in red heels and full color. ❤️‍🔥

When I say red heels, I mean the kind that make you stand a little taller —
the kind that remind you who you are.

Mine look a lot like these.
Not because of the color or the shine,
but because of how they made me feel. 🔥
